Health must be at the heart of Africa–Caribbean cooperation.
The Caribbean Association for Oncology and Hematology (CAOH) was proud to support the High-Level Africa–Caribbean Dialogue held during UNGA81 in New York on 22 September 2026.
Our CEO, Dr. Marisa Nimrod, joined the “Catalysts of Change” panel, bringing cancer care and health cooperation into a conversation connecting investment, resilience and sustainable development.
For CAOH, the opportunities are clear: strengthen cancer prevention and early detection, build the oncology workforce, advance cancer registries and collaborative research, and improve access to timely, affordable care across both regions.
Investment in health protects families, strengthens communities and supports economic resilience. These priorities deserve a central place in the emerging Africa–Caribbean partnership agenda.
We thank the UN Global Compact Networks Caribbean, Nigeria and Ghana, alongside the Lagos State Government and fellow partners, for convening this important dialogue.
CAOH welcomes engagement with partners ready to translate these connections into practical progress for patients and communities.
