The Caribbean Association for Oncology and Hematology (CAOH) proudly joins the global community in commemorating World Cancer Day 2026 under the theme “United by Unique.”

This year’s theme places people—not just cancer—at the centre of care, recognizing that every cancer journey is shaped by unique biological, cultural, social, and emotional experiences. While cancer unites us in a shared global challenge, no two stories are the same.

Across the Caribbean, CAOH continues to advocate for people-centred, equitable, and culturally responsive cancer care, advancing prevention, early detection, patient navigation, and access to evidence-based treatment for all.

On World Cancer Day 2026, CAOH calls on governments, healthcare professionals, partners, and communities to stand United by Unique—ensuring every person affected by cancer is seen, heard, and supported.

Together, we can close the care gap.
